Really beautiful area to run, bike, walk, Bird around the lake! Especially pretty during sunset/sunrise. Crumbl Cookies and Sweet Republic are a good spot for dessert at Watermark right around here.
I enjoy walking around the lake and taking in the scenery.
Side note: I understand that smoking pot is legal in AZ now, but I don't enjoy people smoking while we're walking around and children are in the area. Just my personal opinion, though 🤷🏼♀️ …

Beautiful, right in the middle of everything. Food, kayaking, paddle boats, and more to do.
I like to visit tempe town lake in the evening especially because of the view and surroundings. You can go for a run, skate, or cycle on the tracks around the lake. Just be careful of the others to avoid the accidents. You can also rent pedal boats and other equipments for water activities near the lake. There is a rental unit on the lake itself. Nice gathering in the evenings especially during summer. It’s a good place to relax in summer for the evenings but not during the day as there are not enough covered areas to sit under. It’s a good place to watch sunset if you are in the city and the sunset over the bridge is ok if don’t want to drive miles for the view. There are many residential and corporate buildings nearby so it becomes busy in the evenings. The boundaries of the lake are not high and open at many locations so make sure you keep eyes on young ones just to be safe.
Overall a good place to spend evenings in the city of Tempe. There are not many outdoor locations with water in the city so it provides a cool Spot for evening chats/walks.
We went this evening for a doughnut boat ride and had a good time. It was hot but then it got a little cooler the sun went down some and we enjoyed the sunset. It was beautiful! The boat was quite slow but very pleasant. The cost was $140 for an hour. $160 after tax. It fits 10 people. We brought snacks and drinks but no alcohol is allowed.
Had a fun time with family yesterday the weather was very nice we walked all around the lake, watched the sun set and didn't feel the time. It was nice seeing all the people having fun enjoying beautiful views and playing around. The kids also had so much fun riding the scooters and walking with us.
